Leaving To Padova

Heute geht es endlich nach Padova! Ich kann euch gar nicht sagen, wie sehr ich ich mich auf die nächsten vier Tage freue. Endlich raus aus dem Alltag und dem doofen "Maizember-Wetter" entgehen. Aktuelle Updates wird es mit Sicherheit auf Instagram und Facebook geben, also folgt mir dort gerne (hier und hier)!

Today I´m leaving for a short vacation to Padova! I´m so looking forward to the next four days, leaving the daily routine and the shitty "Maycember-weather". But you will find some updates on Instagram and Facebook so make sure you´re following me (here and here)!

New In // Tutu And Jumpsuit

Heute zeige ich euch endlich, was sich in meinen Einkaufstüten verborgen hat, die ich euch hier gezeigt habe. Schon lange wollte ich mir den babyrosa Nagellack "Tutu" von Dior kaufen und glücklicherweise gab es in dem Laden noch genau ein Stück, gekauft!!:) Das zweite Teil meiner Shoppingausbeute ist ein schwarzer Jumpsuit von Maje. Ich hatte etliche farbenfrohe Teilchen in die Kabine mitgenommen, aber dieser schwarze Einteiler war vom Tragegefühl und Aussehen einfach am Schönsten! Auf den Bildern schaut er vielleicht nicht ganz so spekatulär aus, aber ich garantiere euch, angezogen schaut er wirklich spitzenmäßig aus! Ich werde euch sobald wie möglich Outfitbilder mit meinem neuen Jumpsuit zeigen. Vielleicht eignet sich das Wetter in Padova (morgen geht es los, woop woop!!) besser, um so etwas zu tragen, bei Regen und 10°C, wie hier in Nürnberg, würde ich vermutlich erfrieren!:) Was sagt ihr zu meinen Neuerungenschaften?

Today I´m finally showing you what has been in my shopping bags that I´ve showed you in this post. I wanted to buy that nailpolish for so long now and lucky me there was only one left in the shop, so I had to buy it!!:) The second piece of my shopping haul is a black jumpsuit by Maje. I´ve tried on several colorful pieces but in the end this one was the most comfortable and best looking item! Maybe it looks a little normal on the pictures but I can asure you that it´s really awesome when wearing it! Hopefully I can show you a whole outftitpost soon. For sure the weather in Padova is better for wearing it (we´re leaving tomorrow, woop woop!!) as in Nuremberg it´s raining all day and it is rather fresh with only 10 degrees! Throw It On

Guten (verregneten) Morgen meine Lieben! Wie ihr euch vermutlich vorstellen könnt, sind die Bilder nicht letzte Woche, sondern bereits vorletzte Woche entstanden, als wir uns noch über frühlingshafte Temperaturen freuen konnten. In den letzten sieben Tagen hatte ich absolut keine Lust, Outfitbilder zu knipsen, das hätte nämlich bedeutet, euch einen Zwiebel-Eher-Winter-Als-Frühling-Look zu präsentieren. Und seien wir mal ehrlich, das will wirklich niemand sehen!!! Das einzige, das mich ein wenig tröstet ist der Gedanke, dass ich am Donnerstag nach Padova fahre, dort soll es mit 20°C wenigstens etwas wärmer sein als hier! Mit im Gepäck wird sicherlich mein Skort sein, ein wirklich tolles und leicht zu kombinierendes Teil. Skort, T-Shirt, Kette, Sandalen, Sonnenbrille. Ein schlichtes und, wie ich finde, dennoch chices Outfit, das in weniger als einer Minuten zusammengestellt war. Ich wünsche euch einen guten Start in die Woche!

A good (and unfortunately rainy) morning lovelies! As you can imagine, I haven´t worn this outfit last week but two weeks ago as the temperatures were much higher than today. I really wasn´t in the mood for taking outfit pictures in the last seven days as it would have meant to show you a More-Wintery-Than-Spring-Look. And let´s face it, nobody wants to see that!!! The only thing that somehow comforts me is the fact that I´m going on vacation on Thursday. And the temperatures in Padova are about 20°C so it couldn´t be worse! I´m surely will take that skort with me, a really great and easy to wear item that I adore. It took me less than a minute to create this simple and yet chic look. Grab a shirt, a statement necklace, sandals and your favorite sunnies and youre good to go. Have a nice week peeps!

It's Boss Time Again

Greetings from Olympic Stadium, Munich. Today is the first of several Bruce Springsteen shows we're going to attend. Unfortunately it's raining cats and dogs and the temperatures are way to low for a concert outside..:( But nevertheless we're really looking forward to it! The first two picture were taken right in this second and the other ones give you some impressions from last years shows in Berlin and Cologne. Bruuuuuce!!!

The Differences Between Boys And Girls

Der Umzug schreitet immer weiter voran und nimmt mich momentan ganz in Beschlag, daher ist es diese Woche auch etwas ruhiger auf dem Blog, ich hoffe, ihr versteht das! Heute gibt es jedoch wieder ein kleines Lebenszeichen von mir. Die Bilder, die ihr heute seht, sind entstanden, bevor unsere Wochenenden nur noch aus Umzugskisten packen und Möbelhausbesuchen bestanden und zeigen wieder einmal den Unterschied zwischen Männlein und Weiblein. Während "Frau" es liebt auf einer nostalgischen Schaukel zu schaukeln und Herzförmchen zu fotografieren, geht "Mann" seiner Lieblingsbeschäftigung nach, dem Mannsein! Und der Trieb, für sein Heim zu sorgen hat sich diesmal im Holz hacken und Luftgewehrschießen geäußert. Gut gemacht, mein Süßer, um unsere Zukunft brauche ich mir keine Sorgen machen, wir könnten selbst in der Wildnis überleben! <3

The move precedes in large steps and all my attention is focused on that so sorry for my lack of posts! But to send you a little sign of life I´m showing you some pictures today that were taken before our weekends were full of packing moving boxes and going to different furniture shops and they perfectly show the differences between girls and boys. While the girl loves to swing on nostalgic swings and take pictures of cute heart shaped metal tins, the boy loves to do what real man do, being a man! And this time the urge to take care of his home was expressed in chopping wood and air gun shooting. Good job sweetheart, I don´t have to worry about our future life, we could even survive in the wilderness! <3 

Pink Meets Céline

Ich hoffe ihr genießt euer langes Pfingstwochenende gerad in vollen Zügen? Ich muss mich jetzt schnell fertig machen und dann geht es auch schon wieder ans Umzugskartons packen, Regale aufbauen und Umzugskartons auspacken und das vermutlich den ganzen Tag. Davor zeige ich euch aber noch schnell das Outfit, auf das ihr bereits am Samstag einen Blick werfen konnet. Das Céline-Shirt habt ihr sicherlich schon sehr häufig auf diversen Blogs gesehen und ja, auch ich wollte es unbedingt haben und bin schließlich bei Etsy fündig geworden. Und da ein wenig Farbe nie schaden kann, habe ich es direkt mit meiner pinken Hose kombiniert, die ich momentan, neben meiner weißen Jeans, am liebsten jeden Tag tragen würde. Zudem seht ihr meine neuen schwarzen Sandalen von Zara in getragenem Zustand. Ich hatte sie euch ja hier schon kurz vorgestellt. Wie gefällt euch mein Outfit? As we are enyoing a public holiday in Germany today I will use the day to pack more moving boxes, assemble some shelves, unpack the moving boxes again and that probably all day long. Before that I want to show you the outfit you´ve already spotted in a little previewpost on Saturday. I´m sure you´ve seen the Céline tee I´m wearing on lots of blogs or online shops and yes I´m a fashion victim too and therefore wanted that shirt so badly. I finally found it on Etsy and I´m really happy with it. And because a little color splash is always a good idea I´ve worn it with my beloved pink jeans that I could easily wear every day (besides my white jeans that I love the same way). Furthermore it was the first occasion for wearing my new sandals by Zara that I´ve already showed you in this post. I´m curious if you like my outfit. Pieces Of The Week 36

Packing of moving boxes, carrying them from one floor to another and rebuilding the kitchen - it´s all about removal stress this week. But as you can see the kitchen is ready and at least we can drink some coffee, so everything is fine!:) Many thanks to our hard-working helpers who rebuilded our kitchen, you have helped us a lot!!! 

An easy outfit is essential these days so I grabbed some sneakers out of my closet again. And you already know that I´m not the biggest fan of sports shoes!

 After I´ve finished cleaning and reorganizing the kitchen I thought it was about time to do some shopping as a reward for the work!:) Can you guess what I´ve bought!?

Shine A Light

Genießt ihr es auch so sehr wie ich, dass es jetzt abends wieder länger hell draußen ist? Mir kommt es so vor, als hätte der Tag plötzlich mehr als 24 Stunden und ich sprühe regelrecht vor Unternehmungslust! Die Bilder, die ich euch heute zeige, sind abends gegen acht Uhr entstanden, als die Sonne bereits am Untergehen war. Ich liebe das sanfte Licht und die Stimmung, die dadurch auf den Bildern entsteht! Ich wünsche euch allen einen schönen und sonnigen Tag! <3

Do you ejoy the weather as much as I do? I love the fact that it´s lighter in the evening and  it seems to me that the day has more than 24 hours. Actually it creates a cheerful and adventurous feeling in me, do you know what I mean? The pictures I´m showing you today were shot around eight o'clock when the sun was slowly going down. I love the soft lightning and the mood in these pictures! Recipe // Strawberry Rhubarb Pies

Schon von Kindesbeinen an war ich ein großer Freund von Beeren: Erdbeeren, Johannisbeeren, Brombeeren, Himbeeren, Stachelbeeren, Gummibeeren (äähhh Gummibären).... Hach, ich schwelge im Beerenhimmel!! Aber noch ein fruchtiger Freund ist bei mir immer herzlich willkommen: Herr Rhababer! Und da dieser saure Kerl die süße Frau Erdbeere zum Fressen gern hat, dachte ich mir, ich veranstalte ein kleines köstliches Intermezzo in Form von Erdbeer Rhababer Küchlein. Und wie es der Zufall wollte, habe ich auf dem Blog von Fräulein Klein ein gar köstliches Rezept dafür gefunden, das ich pünktlich zum Muttertag nachgebacken habe und das ich heute mit euch teilen möchte.

From an early age I was a huge fan of every sort of berries: strawberries, currants, blackberries, raspberries, gooseberries, I love them all!! And there is one fruity fellow that is a regular guest in my kitchen as well: Mr. Rhubarb! And since this sourly chap is so in love with Miss Strawberry I thought that it would be nice to arrange a little meeting in form of some strawberry rhubarb pies. And lucky as we are I´ve found a great recipe on the blog of Fräulein Klein that I wanna share with you guys.

Zutaten (für sechs Stück): 

1 Packung Blätterteig (275 Gramm)
250 Gramm Erdbeeren
200 Gramm Rhababer
1 Vanilleschote
2 EL brauner Zucker
2 EL Mehl (eigtl. Speisestärke, aber ich hatte keine daheim)
1 Bio-Limette
1 EL Milch
1 Eigelb      

Zubereitung:

Die Erbeeren und den Rhababer waschen und schälen und in kleine Stücke schneiden. Mit dem Mark der Vanilleschote, dem Zucker, den Zesten der Limette, 2 EL Limettensaft und dem Mehl vermischen und beiseite stellen. 

 Aus dem Blätterteig mit zwei unterschiedlich großen Gläsern (optimaler Durchmesser 9 und 8 cm) jewels sechs Kreise, oder eben soviele Kreise, wie der Blätterteig hergibt, ausstechen.

Den größeren Kreis in eine mit Butter gefettete Muffinform oder, wie in meinem Fall ein kleines Créme Brûlée Förmchen, geben und einen Löffel der Fruchtmischung hineinfüllen. Den kleineren Kreis darauf geben und mit einer Gabel am Rand andrücken.

Das Eigelb und die Milch in einer Schüssel verrühren und den Blätterteigdeckel mit  ein wenig davon einpinseln.

Im Backofen bei 180° C (Ober-/Unterhitze) ca. 20 Minuten backen. Schaut am Besten kurz vor Ablauf der Backzeit, ob der Deckel bereits goldgelb ist. Und nicht erschrecken, durch die Milch-/Eigelbbepinselung wird der Blätterteig leicht etwas bräunlich.

Lasst es euch schmecken!!

 

Ingredients (for a pitcher):

1 pack puff pastry
250 grams strawberries
200 grams rhubarb
1 vanilla pod
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp flour (actually you need cornflour but I hadn´t any at home)
1 organic lime
1 tbsp milk
1 egg yolk    
   
Directions:

Wash the strawberries and the rhubarb and cut into small pieces. Mix them with the inside of the vanilla pod, the sugar, the zests from the lime, 2 tbsp of lime juice and the flour and set aside.

Use two different cups to cut out 6 circles with each cup, or as much as you can cut out of the puff pastry. The cups should optimally have a diameter of 9 and 8 cm.

Put the bigger circle in a greased muffin pan, or like me in a small créme brûlée cups and fill in some of the fruits. Give the smaller circle on top and press the edges tightly together using a fork. 

Mix the egg yolk and the milk and give a little on top of the pies.

Bake in the oven for 20 minutes at 180° C (upper/lower heat). Make sure that the pies don´t get to dark but don´t worry: it´s normal that they look a little brown because of the egg yolk/milk mixture.
